JIm says: To Whom it might concern , today Inner Day comes out . Following on from All Hits: Memories It’s about different things but I reckon it continues with the idea that life is a dream and music is a dream and dreams are dreams . We all know what our dreams are about , right ? No . But dreams are about what you think they are about , so have a listen to this record and see what happens .Guy Picciotto and I worked well writing and recording this record as we always do.
Songs came in different ways , death day was made up when I was feeling something and later on I realized it was an anniversary date of an event , we put drums on it after and that is called anniversary as the drums make it feel like moving on like the day break scene in black orpheus , whats really happening is inspired by my idea of new order and a new order , two ruffys and Longwood started in the victorian countryside when I had a flu fever , there were two ruffys and Guy put them together and the song became this beautiful thing and I remember when a friend thought someone had replicated the house and land and dog and done such a good job - so thats what this song is about says I. I could go on but I need to be asked. The record has 13 tracks, ive made lots of records in the past but this one I play a lot of keyboards as well as playing drums again , all part of the same thing but different in that this isn’t a performance in a room with other people . Inner Day surprised me on another day too - I sing and write lyrics for the first time - a seismic event for me , a non event for mankind . Inner Day . Guy and I - we talk - music is made , INNER DAY .

IN MY MOTHER’S HOUSE
In 2021, Anna spent time with her mother in her apartment, dancing and hanging out, and has created a film representing this time.
IN MY FATHER’S GARDEN
In May and June 2020 Anna spent time with her 87 year old father in his garden in the Strathbogie ranges in Victoria. This video captures this time. It represents the culmination of a lifelong relationship with her father and with his garden, that has been an inspiration for her artistic practice.
Soundtrack music is provided by Jim White, Xylouris White Picciotto and Jim White & Marisa Anderson. Jim White is the drummer in each of these bands, creating a continuum in the soundtrack.
